Anne Sansevero was honored to attend the CaringKind Forget-Me-Not Gala in NYC on June 8th and spend the evening among people passionate about supporting individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

Having worked with older adults and family caregivers for many years and experiencing dementia with a family member, this cause is personal for Anne. The evening featured inspiring stories, meaningful conversations, and a shared commitment to improving the lives of those navigating memory loss challenges. Thanks to EleonoraTornatore-Mikesh Linda LA Gorga, David Hyde Pierce, Jeffrey Jones and Jane Seymour for their inspring word ands and deeds!

A heartfelt thanks to Caring Kind for bringing together such a wonderful community and for the incredible work they do every day to provide education, support, and hope to families throughout New York.

It was a beautiful reminder that while the dementia journey can be difficult, no one should have to walk it alone.

Long-term care costs are climbing fast, catching thousands of families completely off guard every year. Waiting until an emergency hits means fewer choices, higher stress, and massive financial strain.

"The soaring costs of long-term care catch families completely off guard. You have to understand the healthcare system before you're in the middle of a crisis." — Anne Sansevero, Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.

What does the future of aging really look like, and how can your family prepare for it financially? Find out in the latest episode of Aging With the Experts.

For many families, moving between winter and summer homes is a cherished tradition. But for a loved one living with dementia, a seasonal transition can feel deeply disorienting.

In our latest blog, we share the story of the Cohen family and how they learned to help their mother, Sarah, transition safely and calmly.

With thoughtful planning, these moves can become much smoother. Here’s a sneak peek at a few strategies that make a big difference:

1. Talk about the move early using photos and familiar stories.
2. Recreate their bedroom setup with favorite blankets and pictures.
3. Travel during their calmest time of day to avoid overstimulation.

As one family told us: "She may not remember the house, but somehow her heart remembered the feeling of joy, connection, and safety there." 💙

Read the full story and discover all our tips for easing the transition here: www.holistichomecareassociates.com/summer-moves-dementia-easing-the-transition/

If your family is planning a move and needs extra support, Holistic HomeCare Associates is here to help with expert transition consulting and experienced caregivers.
